Description
The contents of this qualification are comprised of both the mandatory and optional units. The mandatory units equip the learners with the essential core competencies. Simultaneously, optional units give learners the opportunity to choose their interest areas and achieve heightened skills in those.
For this qualification, learners must complete a minimum of 65 credits, among which 45 credits must be from the 15 mandatory units and 20 from the optional units.

Total Qualification Time
Total Qualification contains the Guided Learning Hours (GLH) and an estimated number of hours that a learner is likely to spend in preparation, study, or any other learning including assessment, taking place as directed by, but not under the supervision of a lecturer, supervisor or tutor.
The expected total length of time that a learner will typically take to achieve and demonstrate the level of attainment necessary for the award of the qualification is 650 hours, where one credit corresponds to 10 hours of learning. Generally, learners can complete the Level 3 Diploma in Healthcare Support (RQF) within 12 months on a full-time basis.
Guided Learning Hours
These hours comprise all contact time, guidance or supervision of a learner by a lecturer, supervisor, tutor, trainer or other appropriate providers of education or training.

Method of Assessment:
Your Tutor or Assessor will assess all the units of competency using a portfolio of evidence. AN External Quality Assurance of the qualification will be carried out by TQUK at the end of the academic year.
